Returns & Refunds

Effective date: 19 September 2026

This Returns & Refunds Policy applies to products purchased from the Dream Adventure Motorcycles online store.

Dream Adventure Motorcycles is operated by Dream Adventure Motorcycles Pty Ltd (ABN 95 650 077 400), trading as Dream Adventure Motorcycles ("Dream Adventure Motorcycles", "we", "us" or "our").

We want you to be happy with your purchase. This Policy explains our change of mind returns process and your rights where a product is faulty, damaged, incorrect or otherwise does not meet the consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law.

Nothing in this Policy excludes, restricts or modifies any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable law where those rights cannot lawfully be excluded.

1. Change of Mind Returns

We accept change of mind returns for most products within 45 days of delivery, provided that:

  • the product is unused, unworn, unwashed and uninstalled

  • the product is in its original, undamaged packaging

  • all original labels, tags, manuals, accessories and components are included

  • the product is in a condition suitable for resale

  • you provide proof of purchase.

If these conditions are met, we will refund the purchase price of the returned product to your original payment method.

Original shipping charges are not refundable for a change of mind return.

You are responsible for the cost of returning a change of mind item to us or to the return location we nominate.

Products excluded from change of mind returns

We do not accept change of mind returns for:

  • clearance, closeout or products specifically marked Final Sale

  • products that have been fitted, installed or used

  • products that have been worn or washed

  • products that have been damaged after delivery

  • products returned without their original packaging, tags, accessories or components

  • gift cards

  • products that have been specially ordered, customised or modified specifically for you, where this was disclosed before purchase.

These exclusions apply only to change of mind returns. They do not affect your rights where a product is faulty, unsafe, incorrectly described or otherwise fails to meet a consumer guarantee under the Australian Consumer Law.

2. Exchanges

We do not offer direct product exchanges for change of mind purchases.

If you require a different size, colour, model or product, you can return the eligible original item in accordance with this Policy and place a new order for the replacement product.

This does not restrict your right to a replacement where you are entitled to one under the Australian Consumer Law.

3. Faulty Products and Consumer Guarantees

Products sold by Dream Adventure Motorcycles come with consumer guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

Among other requirements, products must:

  • be of acceptable quality

  • be fit for any disclosed purpose

  • match their description

  • match any relevant sample or demonstration model

  • be safe and durable having regard to the nature and price of the product.

If a product does not meet an applicable consumer guarantee, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, refund or compensation depending on the nature of the problem.

Major problems

Where a product has a major problem, you may generally choose between a refund or replacement.

A major problem may include circumstances where the product:

  • is unsafe

  • is substantially unfit for its normal purpose and cannot easily be fixed within a reasonable time

  • is substantially unfit for a purpose you specifically told us about and cannot easily be fixed

  • is significantly different from its description, sample or demonstration model

  • has a problem that would have stopped a reasonable customer from buying it had they known about it.

You may also choose to keep the product and seek compensation for any reduction in its value where the Australian Consumer Law provides that right.

Minor problems

Where the problem is not major, we may choose to repair the product within a reasonable time.

If the product cannot be repaired, or is not repaired within a reasonable time, you may be entitled to a replacement, refund or other outcome available under the Australian Consumer Law.

4. Products Damaged in Transit or Incorrect Products

If your order arrives damaged or you receive a product different from what you ordered, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible.

Please provide, where available:

  • your order number

  • a description of the issue

  • photographs of the product

  • photographs of the packaging

  • details of the product received.

Please retain the product and packaging until we advise you of the next steps.

Where we have supplied an incorrect product or a product has been damaged in transit, we will arrange an appropriate resolution and bear reasonable return costs where required.

5. Warranty Claims

Some products may also be covered by a manufacturer's or distributor's warranty.

Manufacturer warranties are in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law and do not replace or limit those rights.

Where a product is claimed to be faulty, we may need to inspect or assess it to determine the nature and cause of the problem.

Depending on the product and issue, we may reasonably request information such as:

  • photographs or video showing the fault

  • details of how and when the fault occurred

  • motorcycle make, model and year

  • installation or fitment information

  • maintenance information

  • details of modifications relevant to the product

  • other information reasonably required to assess the claim.

In some circumstances, the product may need to be returned for inspection or testing.

Where appropriate, we may obtain assistance from the manufacturer, importer or distributor in assessing the product. Dream Adventure Motorcycles remains your point of contact for products purchased from us.

A refund, replacement, repair or other outcome may not be available where investigation establishes that the problem was caused by circumstances such as:

  • misuse or abnormal use

  • accidental damage

  • incorrect installation or fitment

  • unauthorised modification

  • failure to maintain the product appropriately

  • ordinary wear and tear

  • use contrary to relevant instructions

  • damage caused after the product was supplied.

However, we will not refuse a refund, replacement, repair or other outcome you are legally entitled to merely because a manufacturer's warranty has expired or because a particular manufacturer warranty condition is not met.

Nothing in this Policy limits any right you may have to compensation for reasonably foreseeable loss or damage under applicable law.

6. Returning a Product

Before sending a product back, please contact us so that we can provide the correct return instructions and return address.

This is particularly important because some products are supplied through third party distributors or fulfilment partners and may need to be returned to a location other than the Dream Adventure Motorcycles workshop.

To start a return:

  1. Contact us with your order number and the reason for the return.

  2. Provide any photographs or information reasonably required to assess the return.

  3. We will provide the applicable return instructions and return address.

  4. Package the product securely and return it in accordance with those instructions.

Please do not send a product directly to one of our suppliers or distributors unless we have instructed you to do so.

Contacting us before returning an item helps us process the return efficiently but does not remove or limit any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law.

7. Return Shipping Costs

Change of mind

You are responsible for return shipping costs for an approved change of mind return.

We recommend using a tracked delivery service. Dream Adventure Motorcycles is not responsible for a change of mind return that is lost before it reaches the nominated return location.

Faulty or incorrect products

Where a product is confirmed to have a problem for which you are entitled to a refund, repair, replacement or other outcome, we will reimburse reasonable return postage or transport costs where required under the Australian Consumer Law.

Please retain receipts for any reasonable return shipping costs you incur.

For products that are large, heavy or otherwise difficult or expensive to return, we will arrange collection or otherwise deal with the return as required by law.

8. Proof of Purchase

We may ask you to provide reasonable proof that the product was purchased from Dream Adventure Motorcycles.

Proof of purchase may include:

  • an order confirmation

  • receipt or tax invoice

  • transaction record

  • relevant bank or card statement

  • another record reasonably demonstrating the purchase.

For a faulty product, original packaging is not required in order to exercise rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

9. Refund Processing

Once an approved return has been received and, where necessary, assessed, we aim to process the refund within 5–10 business days.

Refunds will generally be made to the original payment method used for the purchase.

Once we process a refund, your bank, card provider or payment service may require additional time before the funds appear in your account. This processing time is outside our control.

Where a refund is required under the Australian Consumer Law, we will not substitute store credit or a gift card unless you agree to that form of refund.

10. Workshop Services

Consumer guarantees also apply to services supplied by Dream Adventure Motorcycles where the Australian Consumer Law applies.

Workshop services must, among other requirements, be provided with due care and skill and be fit for any particular purpose made known to us where applicable.

If workshop services fail to meet an applicable consumer guarantee, what you are entitled to will depend on the circumstances and whether the failure is major or can be corrected within a reasonable time.

This may include having the service corrected, cancelling the affected service, receiving a refund or receiving another outcome available under the Australian Consumer Law.

Further terms relating specifically to motorcycle servicing, repairs, quotes, estimates and authorised workshop work are contained in our Terms & Conditions.

11. Sale and Clearance Products

Products purchased during a sale or promotion have the same Australian Consumer Law rights as full price products.

A sale, discounted or clearance product may be excluded from our voluntary change of mind policy where this is clearly disclosed.

However, this does not prevent you from seeking a refund, replacement, repair or other outcome available under the Australian Consumer Law for a fault or other covered problem, except in relation to a specific defect that was clearly disclosed to you before purchase.

12. Supplier Fulfilled Orders

Some products purchased from Dream Adventure Motorcycles may be dispatched directly by one of our suppliers, distributors or fulfilment partners.

This does not change who you purchased the product from.

For products purchased from Dream Adventure Motorcycles, please contact Dream Adventure Motorcycles about returns, faults and refunds rather than contacting our supplier directly, unless we specifically ask you to do so.

We may work with the relevant supplier or manufacturer behind the scenes to inspect a product or resolve a claim.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Returns & Refunds Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our business, suppliers, ecommerce operations or applicable law.

Changes will apply to purchases made after the updated Policy takes effect.

We will not retrospectively reduce return rights or other contractual rights that applied when an existing purchase was made.

Nothing in an updated Policy can limit rights that apply under the Australian Consumer Law.
